Well it’s exciting for me anyway… I mean who even knew that Kelowna had such a great craft beer scene? I guess people who live in the area probably do, but for all of us out-of-towners – here you go!

Red Bird Brewing opened its doors in summer 2017 and has been a part of the Kelowna craft beer scene ever since. Hang out on the patio on warm days and grab some tacos to go with your brew from the @surfsidecalifornia taco food truck, it’s usually parked on site.

BNA Brewing Co.
The historic building that now houses BNA Brewing Co. used to house a tobacco cigar company back in the early 1900’s. Nowadays the brick building functions as a Kelowna craft brewery and eatery, with rotating taps, a decent sized cocktail menu and good amount of food choices. You can also get some amazing ramen (I’m told) from the Little Tokyo Food Truck located at the brewery on certain days of the week.

Located south of downtown, this very cool new Kelowna brewery has made their home in a 1920’s barn. A longtime dream of three friends was brewing (ha see what I did there) and now they’ve made it happen.
At Barn Owl Brewing, you can find baked goods to nibble on from It’s A Bakery next door. If it’s a more substantial meal you’re after, pick something up on the way over. You’re welcome to bring your own food from home or wherever.
These guys are open Monday – Fridays from 12 until 10pm, with Thursdays and Fridays open longer. Saturday 10am-12am Sunday 11am-10pm
Boundary Brewing Company
If you’re a fan of German style beers, then you’ll appreciate Boundary Brewing Company – it is their specialty, after all. As well as their own craft beers, they also serve other brand brews that fit in with their style.
Of the breweries in Kelowna, and Canada for that matter, they are the only ones with a wood brewing system. Pretty unique. They are located close to the airport and the UBC Kelowna campus. Boundary Brewing is dog friendly!
Visit them Wednesday – Friday 3-7pm Saturday 12-7pm Sunday 12-5pm
